ESTELLE RIVIERE.
• mostly goes by ‘elle’ nowadays.
• founding family of mystic falls.
• born may 2, 1786 in giverny, france.
• 234 years at 18 years old.
• species : animmorcis, turned in 1804.

• core form : black cat (feline).

born in giverny, france in 1786.

moved to new orleans, louisiana in 1804 after being turned into an animmorcis.

while in new orleans, estelle grew close to the mikaelson family of original vampires.

after 54 years in new orleans, estelle moved to a small town in virginia in 1858, wanting to start a new life for herself.

in 1860, estelle and her sister liliana helped found the town of mystic falls. here, the riviere family joined the list of mystic falls’ founding families.

in 1864, katherine pierce arrived in the small virginia town. her and estelle eventually grew to become good friends until katherine’s faked death.

although betraying all of her other friends (the tomb vampires) to do this, katherine stayed close and in touch with estelle. estelle was left to keep an eye on the salvatore brothers for katherine and help them through the early stages of their vampirism.

in 1866, estelle and liliana left the town of mystic falls after the salvatore brothers were confirmed to katherine to be in a safe and somewhat stable place and condition. the riviere sisters moved up to new york city to start another new life, but before leaving, they had compelled the salvatore brothers to forget about them.

estelle and liliana stayed in new york city for 22 years before deciding to move back to new orleans in 1888. people in nyc had began noticing how the sisters hadn’t aged a day, and new orleans was the best option for them to stay with the way the mikaelsons were running the city.

here, the riviere sisters stayed the longest (with the exception of taking many, many vacations over the years and traveling the world). they stayed in new orleans for about 132 years minus the few here and there spent elsewhere.

in 2020, estelle heard news of stefan and damon returning to mystic falls, virginia. after a discussion with liliana, a decision was made for estelle to move back to mystic falls and liliana would stay back in new orleans.

in the beginning of the school year, estelle enrolled in mystic falls high school. she became friends with elena, caroline, bonnie, etc while being reunited with stefan and damon even though they were compelled not to remember who she was.

a lot of confusion and suspicious soon arose over what estelle was. not a vampire, not a werewolf, not a witch, yet she had various abilities of each creature. eventually everyone was told what she was after being unable to keep it from them without losing them as friends for any longer.

katherine arrives back in mystic falls and, although off to quite a rough start, estelle and katherine reunite and estelle convinces her friend to let go of her bad plans and instead just make peace with everyone (beginning of season two).

when damon was bit by a werewolf, estelle was able to cure the bite so stefan never had to go to klaus and leave with him.

DAY SHIFTING TO: june 20th, 2020. right before episode one of season three of the vampire diaries (elena’s 18th birthday on june 22nd); the ritual with klaus didn’t happen so jenna is still alive. the originals are in new orleans with lily. stefan and elena peacefully broke up after discussing stefan not being fully over katherine after her ‘character redemption’ and elena beginning to gain feelings for damon.

estelle and liliana riviere were born from evelyn and elliot (father) riviere. both parents were animmorcis’.

when estelle was 18 and liliana was 17, their parents announced that it was time for the girls to be turned. the two parents had lived a long time and they were ready to finally rest.

although many tears and much sadness was involved, evelyn transferred her powers on to estelle while liliana received elliot’s. that night, the riviere sisters’ parents passed peacefully in their sleep.

from this point forward, estelle was left as the one fire animmorcis while liliana was the earth animmorcis.

• body hair is not an issue for me other than the obvious areas (head, eyebrows, eyelashes).

when my mother turned me, she gave a necklace with a ruby pendant. ruby being a crystal connected to the element of fire, the necklace was specially spelled to enhance my powers and allows me to do any magic at ease without exhausting myself.
• if anyone attempts to take the necklace off of or away from me, it will severely burn them and continue to burn them until they leave it be.
• my sister lily owns a necklace similar, though the crystal in the pendant is a malachite for her earth element.

ABOUT THEM.
an animmorcis is a supernatural creature and is considered both the most powerful and the most rare type of supernatural being in the world. many who know about the animmorcis do not believe in its existence. the creatures exist to keep the balance of nature and the elements in line as much as possible.

animmorcis’ are magical creatures connected to the elements: earth, water, air, and fire. they hold the power to perform any magic of their will and are the strongest beings on the planet. they have the ability to do whatever they want at the simple snap of a finger, whether that be clean up a messy room, or cause a fatal and record-breaking natural disaster. besides this, an animmorcis is also able to change their physical form at will, hence the “animalis” (animal) in the name.

although able to draw magic from any element, every animmorcis is ruled by one of the four: earth, water, air, and fire. this is called a “core element”. when drawing from or working with the element an animmorcis is ruled by, their magic is near effortless and the power is strengthened by a lot. when being turned, however, a new animmorcis cannot choose their core element unless they find the animmorcis of the element they want and convince them to turn them.

along with the core element, the core form of an animmorcis is also not decided by the individual- this is decided by the spirits of past animmorcis’ and the animmorcis turning them. a “core form” is the animal form in which an animmorcis has the ability to turn into. if an animmorcis has the core form of a fox, it takes barely any energy or skill to change into one. however, once more experience and power is gained from the animmorcis over time, they will be able to change forms into any animal as long as it is within the same family as their core form. one with the core form of a fox will be able to change into any type of canine.

ORIGINAL ANIMMORCIS’.
as there are four elements, there were four original animmorcis’ and there will always only be four walking the earth. this is the reason why they are such rare creatures and not often believed in at all- they’re hardly ever seen.

BEING TURNED.
turning a person into an animmorcis is the complete transfer of your powers and energy. when an animmorcis turns a person, the life is drained from their body and they will pass away peacefully while the new animmorcis gains their powers and immortality. this way, the balance of the elements and nature is kept and only four animmorcis’ exist at once at all times. to be turned, a ritual is done by the original animmorcis working off of their core element. they take their hands in each other’s and the power is then transferred from one to the other until it is drained completely from the body of the original animmorcis. this is the ONLY way an animmorcis can die- at their own will. hence, the “immortales” (immortal) in the name.
